Predatory midge
This is either Sphaeromiini or Palpomyiini. If you have any more pictures, look under the last tarsal segments and see if there are stout, black hairs underneath. An accurate size might help too; how did you come up with 6 mm?

 
Size
I measured total length from head to wingtips: 6 mm. Apparently I should have measured only the length of the wings, which would have come out to ~4.3 mm.
