What is this bug? - Oodera
Virginia, USA
Size: ~5mm
Found a few of these guys coming through a crack in the wall near an upstairs window, and the vent on our main floor. Pointed abdomen and wings on an ant-like body.

Oodera

Confirmation of Oodera
Dr. Gary Gibson says this is definitely Oodera.

click 'edit' under the image and update the submission form.
also, make sure to crop the image down just to the bug (now it's 98% empty space), and keep in mind that size data only help if measured in mm, otherwise the field is better left blank: indicated size is the size of a large hornet (unrealistic for your wasp)
