Sounds reasonable
I think Acmon is correct, and I was totally wrong.
Not only about species, but I marked this as male, and it is clearly a female.
Sorry about the goofs, and glad to see they are sorted out. I'm wondering if I swithched this with another specimen while commenting, and if there might be a male Veined Blue hiding under Acmon or Lupine?

I don't think this is P. neurona. The location is much too low. Also P. acmon occasionally has some orange on the forewing in Southern California, supposedly due to past hybridization with P. neurona.

even if the underside spots are yellower than normal.
