tachinid fly - Triarthria setipennis - Female
Milton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA
June 2, 2013
Two females found on back porch on hot morning. Larger image.

Moved
Moved from Triarthria.

Moved
Moved from Tachinidae.

Probably Triathria
I can't see the arista clearly, but the wing veins have lots of hairs and the bend in M is obtuse and near wing margin. This is probably Triarthria setipennis.

re: probably Triarthria
I'll take it. Have seen earwigs here also

Moved
Moved from Compsilura concinnata. According to images at diptera.info, Compsilura concinnata has four dorsocentral setae rather than the three visible here.
