Size: about 2 inches long
Found and photoed by Jeff & Carol Newell.
Flew by rather clumsily, and landed briefly on a tree trunk.
About 2 inches long, including wings, in the pose in the photo.
About 50 yards from the edge of the swamp, where common trees are tulip poplars, sweet gum, and hackberry.
