Why not E. trifurcella?

That is what I thought too but I have now sent four to BOLD that have that strong dark horizontal marking all the way to the tail and all have come back with the same results. They are all in BOLD:ACP4777. The first one identified for me on BG by Maury Heiman looks more like the photo in Jerry Powell's paper to me, but the DNA seems to say something else. When Valerie Bugh was here she identified one of hers as E. trifurcella but I have not had a chance to discuss the subject with her. I sent a photo of one to Ed Knudson and he agreed with E. trifurcella, so it remains one of my many mysteries.
