weevil - Nemocestes incomptus

weevil - Nemocestes incomptus
San Leandro, Alameda County, California, USA
June 8, 2013
Size: 8mm
Found on my back deck, which is under a (non-native) alder tree, and also partly under a (non-native) Myoporum tree. Not sure if it dropped out of either of those trees, though.

excellent -- thanks all!

Nemocestes?
Looks like a Nemocestes but based on the setation I don't think this is horni..could be incomptus based on the descriptions in Bright and Bouchard (2008) or some other species endemic to CA? Hope Charles or Bob will comment.

sent link to Charlie last night; Nemocestes was my first guess

Nemocestes incomptus
