Nice work
on this cute little dome-headed spider.

Thanks ....
I don't usually save them but had saved this one in a contact lens case and forgot about it. I found it the other day along with an Asagena americana (very surprised they didn't dry out, the other half of the case did) and decided to try dissecting a female for the first time. I just had an x-acto knife from the craft store to work with and this was so very small I didn't think it would be possible.

your first dissected female =]
too cool. =]

Linyphiid?
Hmm. I don't think there are any Robertus with that kind of carapace pattern (but I haven't checked the literature - I'll look tomorrow). Singa popped to mind first when I saw the carapace, but I think it's a linyphiid (likely erigonine).

Not sure what the possibilities are though. Neat find!

Robertus or?
I agree with Kyron. I don't think it's Robertus or even the look alike Enoplognatha thoracica. Nice find.
