Small black beetle with a single nose horn - Sinodendron rugosum

Small black beetle with a single nose horn - Sinodendron rugosum
Auburn State Recreation Area, Placer County, California, USA
June 16, 2013
Size: 13 mm long
My uneducated guess would be subfamily Dynastinae, a rhinoceros beetle. Observed on creekside rocks in a foothill oak-pine woodland, at a low elevation in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Hey! I have the same one!
