Size: perhaps 1 inch
Found this beauty inhabiting the old haunt of a female black widow after she died. It's under a cistern cap which provides perfect access to a water supply.

This looks to be one of the Casteianeira, I know no one knows the exact species for this yet but I wanted to move this image here to give the other spider editors a chance to check it out. It's a nice find. :)

Looks like a Castianeira
but we don't recognize the pattern. Wonder if a number of scales have been worn off??
