Female Gray Wall Spider -- in NY!
Hi, I just spent hours and hours identifying this as "the" spider I collected this a.m. from the bathroom wall near the window curtains. I kept her (yes, it was a female) in a jar until I could positively i.d. her. I let fresh air in every few minutes. Apparently this spider is not supposed to be in New York! I live in rural Western New York. I am as surprised as all get-out to discover what kind of spider this is. After checking and doublechecking and then triple-checking all pictures of similar spiders that I could possibly find and comparing all the pics to my actual live subject, I made the i.d. then let her go outside next to the wall of the house. Very interesting to find!

It looks like a female Menemerus bivittatus - Gray Wall Jumper. You should wait for confirmation though.
