Callibaetis ferrugineus
Hi Fran-

Yes, this male subimago is of genus Callibaetis, and I believe it to be C. ferrugineus. Although, you appear to have both C. f. ferrugineus (the eastern subspecies) and C. f. hageni (the western subspecies) in SK, I won't speculate as to which one this may be.

Incidentally, mayfly body length is measured from the front of the head to the end of the abdomen, not including the length of tails, so you should probably adjust the estimated length downward to exclude the length of its tails.

thanks and length:
Thanks, Roger. Muchly appreciated. Yes, this is just one mayfly, 2 views and thank you for your help. The length of "just under 1 inch" IS the body only - I will change it to 3/4" as that is without the tail, and probably most accurate rather than the "just under 1 inch". Does this sizing still keep it within this species?

Callibaetis body length
Hi Fran-

Have never heard of any N. American Callibaetis mayfly with a body length much longer than 10 mm (~2/5") as measured from the front of its head to end of its abdomen, not including tails.

length
Thanks, Roger. I went back to a photo I have of the mayfly on the camper door and compared it to the lock on the door, my estimate is out, it's more like just under 1/2".
