Is this a syrphid fly or a soldier fly. - Platycheirus - Female

There are not many flying insects about in this damp weather but I keep finding this one and I'm having differing ID's for it. I have another 3 good images.

Syrphid
It is either a female of Platycheirus or Melanostoma. These syrphids can be active under quite cold conditions.
