unidentified Syrphid - Eristalinus aeneus
Brookfield, Illinois, USA
June 16, 2013
Size: about 19 mm
Photographed on a flower in front of the Roosevelt Fountain at the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago. It has the appearance of a Drone Fly (Syrphidae), but I can't discern the genus or species.

Moved from Eristalinus.

Moved from Syrphid Flies.
