Large Spider - Pisaurina mira

Large Spider - Pisaurina mira
Beavercreek, Greene County, Ohio, USA
June 4, 2013
My daughters found this large spider in one of their bedrooms. Since one daughter (of five) is arachnophobic, we removed it from the house (releasing it outside while singing "Born Free"), after taking some photos on the kitchen table in relatively low light (the fourth photo was taken outside in bright sunlight, hence the lighter appearance of the same spider). If it helps estimate size (which I neglected to measure while we had the spider) the colored numerals on the place mat in the background are precisely one centimeter tall.
