6013879 caterpillar - Chlorochlamys chloroleucaria
Putnam County, Illinois, USA
August 20, 2006
Size: ~3/4"

We always confuse
the Blackberry Looper, Chlorochlamys, Wagner pg 197, with the Pistachio Emerald, Hethemia pistasciaria, Wagner pg 201. Check them out and see what you think, or wait for Hannah to chime in. We're putting our money on the Blackberry.

Thanks very much for all thes
Thanks very much for all these recent caterpillar determinations, ony moments after I posted the images.

I'll second that
- I wish Wagner's image of the Pistachio Emerald was bigger, but I think this one shows the proportionately smaller horns of the Blackberry Looper.
