I'm now confident these are parallelus males

based on:
-strongly infuscated (dark) wings
-long vertex (=ocellocular distance)
-short "crewcut" hairs of thorax
-well-defined anterior yellow spot on tegula
-pattern of black at base of clypeus
-exact color pattern of legs

Initially I had not suspected parallelus because there seem to be few Florida records. Pascarella on his Florida Bee site maps this species only for Levy County

Halictus poeyi

recently separated from Halitus ligatus based on molecular data. Of this cryptic species pair, only H. poeyi is known to occur in Florida.
