Lady Beetle ID? - Hippodamia convergens

Lady Beetle ID? - Hippodamia convergens
Tucson/Catalina Mtns, Pima County, Arizona, USA
June 24, 2013
Rather small specimen found on fern plants in the Catalinas at altitude. Is this a North American species. or an Asian import?

Hippodamia sp. - native!
Probably H. convergens, the most common sp. in the US SW, but let me check - the Catalinas are a crossover point for some of the West Coast species.

yes this is H. convergens
seen hundreds myself in the very area.
