Les Insectes du Québec--Guide d' Identification
By Yves Dubuc
Éditions Broquet, 2005
ISBN: 2890006778
Cite: 79243 with citation markup [cite:79243]
In French. Described on http://www.lesinsectesduquebec.com/ as having over 2000 color photos of 1530 species of insects. (That site also has extensive resources on-line.)
Careful, there may be a popular and a "scientific" version of this work--I can't be quite sure of the ISBN. See for instance, the
amazon Canada
listing, which shows a different cover than the work above.

About the versions
There is effectively different versions of this book, because it was home produced, before becoming an official published book. For example, I bought many years ago a soft cover, version with a plastic binder, directly from the author! The Broquet edition is a clear upgrade from the original "home-made version".

New release
A new release of the book is available since May 2007 (same ISBN number 2890006778). A few more insects added, new page cover, latin name updated (coleoptera).
