Range
Southern Arizona, New Mexico and western Texas. (2), (1)
Holotype collected in Redington, Arizona. (1)
Collection sites include Jeff Davis, Brewster, and Culberson counties in western Texas. (1)
Lincoln and Eddy counties in New Mexico. (1)
Cochise, Oracle, Pinal, Redington, Pima, Santa Cruz, and Madera counties in Arizona. (1)
Habitat
Dry mountainous areas from 3,400-5,300' elevation. (1)
Season
Adults are most common from April to September. (1)
Food
Ferguson (2008) reported the early stages and the larval host plant are unknown. (1)
Remarks
Macaria pallipennata is the most common of this species group in the Texas to Arizona area. (1)
