Lejops curvipes - Polydontomyia curvipes - Female

On Spirea. Last year at this same location I found this female. As I periodically monitor the site, it will be interesting to see if this sexually dimorphic species persists from year to year.

You have the sexes wrong, John. The orange abdomen is the male.
