ID help? - Epicauta vittata
Seminole, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
June 26, 2013
Size: ~17mm
Found on an ant mound... I really think it's a beetle but it's abdomen is shriveled which makes me think I might be wrong... Not sure what this is, to be honest.

John Pinto says, "Almost certainly E. vittata...
"...but Seminole Co. approaches the known range of occidentalis. Populations of E. vittata that are trivittate have the middle vitta closer to the outer than the inner vitta. The 3 are usually equally separate in occidentalis - but there is variation."

Moved from Vittata Group.

I'd be glad to provide more directed photos
if someone has a view they need for ID. I'll also be glad to provide the specimen to an interested party.
