It has wings like a dragonfly and a weird stinger on back like a wasp, light in color.

I believe your mayfly to be a Pentagenia vittigera female. Incidentally, it's my understanding that subimagos of this family (Palingeniidae) are sexually mature, and don't undergo a subsequent molt.
