Explanation of Names
Named in honor of collector Gustave W. Belfrage (1834-1882).
Cecrita belfragei (Grote, 1879), n. comb. in Miller et al. (2021)(1), was formerly placed in the genus Rifargira in Becker (2014)(2) who transferred it from Heterocampa.
Size
Grote (1879) reported a wingspan of 36 mm.

Type locality: Clifton, Bosque Co., TX.
Season
The main flight period appears to be May to August. (3)
