Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Middleton, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
June 30, 2013
In Silphium perfoliatum.

Moved
Moved from Leaf Miner Flies.

Moved
Moved from Unidentified Leaf Mines.

This is definitely an agromyzid mine, with larva still inside, but there is no agromyzid known to mine in Silphium. If you find more occupied mines, please collect them and try to rear them to adults.
