Cephidae
Calameuta clavata (Norton). I compared specimens and am quite sure this is clavata. Color of the abdomen (yellow markings) and apparently long cerci place it as clavata. The yellow on the wings is the same in both clavata and cinctus. Calameuta has a bidentate left mandible, distance between antennae and clypeus long, and long cerci; Cephus has a tridentate left mandible, distance between antennae and clypeus short, and very short cerci. These are always difficult to see in photos.

Hind tibia
In all the photos I looked at of Calameuta clavata, the hind tibiae are darkened throughout, while with Cephus cinctus, they all appear to be yellowish, with dark coloration only near the tarsi. I presume it is not that simple, but wanted to make the observation.

Dave,
thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge. I really appreciate it!

Cephidae
Cephus cinctus or Calameuta clavata. Can't be sure from the pictures.

Thank you,
Dave. I wondered if the yellow band on the leading edge of the front wing might be diagnostic, but can't tell from the pics in the guide if the Cephus cinctus has it? I do have a few additional angles if anything would be helpful. Hard to know sometimes what will be the best images to post.
