I was planning to show off my army of 3 spiders on white, all facing the camera, and all showing their long fangs. Unfortunately, the second they came into contact with each other they turned and prepared to lock fangs (see the picture before this)

These are great shots! I think you might be right. I don't see the same enlarging of the palp on any of these. I guess it was just the angle in the other image.
