Not Trichoplusia
That is not Trichoplusia ni. Seems to be a dark specimen of Pseudoplusia includens - Hodges' # 8890

Cabbage Looper
I'd say your moth is a Cabbage Looper [Trichoplusia ni]. We just saw three of them at our black light in the Shakespeare Garden, Central Park, NYC. They're common in flower gardens in September

Thanks
I've been seeing a lot of these this month.
Cooler weather (below 90) seems to be bringing them out.
