Tiny yes, but very large as for Scelionid Wasp. Despite having given its name to the family, this genus is a fairly special one. Most species parasitize eggs of Grasshoppers.

thank you for the information Richard, i can not say i knew about these little wasps... i was sitting on the ground watching a Pompilid, which is the only reason i noticed this one, any smaller would make them quite a task to find.
