Ectobius pallidus?? - Ectobius lapponicus - female

Ectobius pallidus?? - Ectobius lapponicus - Female
Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont, USA
July 3, 2013
Size: 8 mm
We have found 4 of these bugs roaming around our house since moving in last month. The house was unoccupied for 2 years before we moved in. I believe they are some kind of cockroach, possibly ectobius pallidus after looking at this site. The egg is not from the cockroach pictured, but from another one about the same size. She carried it around for days before finally expelling it (we had her in a jar). Should we call the exterminator, or is this an outdoor species?
