Question Mark - Polygonia interrogationis

Question Mark - Polygonia interrogationis
Doddridge County, West Virginia, USA
September 26, 2006
Polygonia interrogationis. Another first for Doddridge Co. :) ID by the four spots on the top of the forewing (this is the only shot I got with it's wings even slightly opened), and the faint question mark on the underside of the hind wing.

Donna,
Something must be wrong as if you saw this in newyears eve it would be a great sighting in WV.

Although...
You might be surprised. I live in NJ and saw one of these flying on a warm day in February.

LOL
Fixed it...lots of problems uploading these last night.
