beetle - Nosodendron unicolor

beetle - Nosodendron unicolor
4 miles east of Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York, USA
June 28, 2013
Size: 6mm
Hoping someone can confirm my ID. There aren't any BG photos of this species from this far east, but it looks as if the species should occur in NY? Ithaca is south of Ontario.

Found the beetle 4-5 feet up the side of a long-dead elm (I think it was an elm) in my parents' backyard, during the night, close to a creek and swamp.
