grain beetle - Oryzaephilus surinamensis

grain beetle - Oryzaephilus surinamensis
September 1, 2006
Size: ~3mm
Oryzaephilus, probably O. surinamensis - Saw-toothed Grain Beetle, trapped in a water drop intended to merely slow it down for this photo (large rounded temples behind the eyes say O. surinamensis - see comments and link under (which appears to be another Oryzaephilus sp).

We've found several of these around our cereal and flour products (probably been having a few for breakfast - yum :(

I left the location blank as I have no indication that these actually were born near my home in south Jersey.

Thanks Mike! Moved
Moved from Oryzaephilus.
