Brine Shrimp?
Yankee Boy Basin, Ouray County, Colorado, USA
July 3, 2013
Found in a small tundra pool surrounded by mud. If this is a brine shrimp, could there by salt deposits in the muck?

The brine shrimp represent one family within the Anostraca, but there are other families. So all brine shrimp are fairy shrimp, but not all fairy shrimp are brine shrimp. Having said that, I'm not familiar enough with fairy shrimp to ID them from photos. Hopefully someone will come along who knows them better.
