Actually...
because of the coloring...I think it may be, instead, a Leptinotarsa juncta larva...False Potato Beetle larve... http://bugguide.net/node/view/700532
I only say that because I am in also in Ohio (Columbus) and we are seeing bunches of these on our nightshade this year. I defer to the experts though.

 
I just checked and
it was feeding on nightshade.
