This female created her nest inside my tool shed that is surrounded by several large female black widows. The nest measures approximately 3½ inches at its longest point.

WOW!
I have never seen the black and yellow type, I have been stung by mud-daubers due to picking something up and placing it against my chest with the nest on my skin, I did not see it until it had stung me. This wasp looks like it has more of an attitude.
