Vesta
This is a Vesta Crescent.

I wasn't sure it was a Vesta, because it appears to have only one white cell instead of 3. These were all listed for the county, and we're not familiar with all the distinguishing marks: Common Mestra, Theona Checkerspot, Silvery Checkerspot, Bordered Patch, Tiny Checkerspot, Elada Checkerspot, Vesta or Graphic Crescent, Phaon Crescent, Pearl Crescent, Texan Crescent. I thought maybe one of these would have the one white cell?

 
Perhaps an unusual variation
It's probably not usual, but I would say that having only one paler cell is within the range of variation in Vesta.

Several species of crescents in Texas.
This one appears to be Pearl crescent but shows some white on the FW median band which is indicative of Phaon crescent which has a creamy white FW band.
