Synonyms and other taxonomic changes
The only US species, Syscia augustae, used to be in Cerapachys.
Identification
Similar to Acanthostichus, but with antennae 11-segmented and antennal fossa strongly separated form gena by a sharp carina.
Range
Sporadically and rarely throughout the southern US from AZ to AR.
Habitat
Subterranean predators.
Food
Likely feed on other ants like most other dorylines.
