Harmonia axyridis? Found on lower surface of elm leaf in grassy city park.

Moved from ID Request.

now I'm officially calling Adalia bipunctata
Since you found an adult in the vicinity, I don't have doubts about the species; I was hesitant to give a hard det. before since A. bipunctata isn't terribly common, especially in urban areas.

NOT H. axyridis! - maybe Adalia or Hippodamia
H. axyridis always has the double-branched spines of the shed larval skin visible at the rear of the pupa.

The overall gestalt is saying "Adalia bipunctata" to me, but I wouldn't rule out Hippodamia. The pattern of the pronotum appears to be showing through the pupa, but I'm not getting a good feel for the species from it. (It actually looks like an Anatis pronotum, but the pupa would be very spiky and the area over the elytra would probably not be as dark.)
