I got this $12 extension tube kit on amazon that enables me to get up close without having to buy expensive macro lens. It's a pain to use and took a long time to get familiar with but I'm getting much better results than my previous point and shoot. The major down side is you have a fixed depth of field which is pretty small. And you can't take videos with it. This is actually two images that I photoshopped together.
