Needham's Skimmer
This is a teneral male Needham's Skimmer (Libellula needhami). A good field mark to separate Needham's/Golden-winged Skimmers from Flame/Neon Skimmers is the black dorsal abdominal stripe, which is not present on Flame/Neon Skimmers. This is a Needham's instead of a Golden-winged based on the pale area on the side of the thorax extending anterior of the mesoplural suture.

Thank you
for the correction. I'm still trying to pin down my ID's, and this helps.

imo
Flame Skimmer (Libellula saturata). Female. Nice shot. Beautiful dragon.
