Hackberry rd. and Salt Fork Arkansas River, Barber County, Kansas, USA
July 9, 2013
Size: 22 mm
Collected two of these on a flowering tree 8 miles west of Hardtner at about 9:00 in the morning. I went back in the afternoon and there were none.
Sorry for the pinned specimen but it is a requirement of my 4-H Entomology project.

Its a Butterfly Wolf! They nest underground and use butterflies to feed their larva
