I suspect "linnei" also
But I can't help but wonder how much, if any blending occurs in this area. KH and I discussed a lot of the problems across the Mid-West and the mixing issues. And as you know so well, it's a mess :)

I know ! Yet call variation in the males seems to great to be pure linnei. It seems the males in this population are indeed more linnei than pruinosus by looking morphalogical and audio traits! Yet they display both the fast temp and slow temp call in the same temp. And their are a few very strong pruinosus calling cicadas in this woods! However the pruinosus call with a faster higher pitched call and seem to be outside the park were they transition back to pure pruinosus. Males often have a black ventral stripe but not as bold as populations that are not subject to hybridization . It seems introgression is found among populations were linnei are a minority and are surrounded by huge pruinosus populations? Wen the ratio is even hybridization does not seem to happen as much.
