Dusty gray-brown critter, 1.5 inches wide - Apatelodes torrefacta
Browns Summit, NC USA, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA

Size: 1.5 inches wide
This strange moth has been on a window screen since yesterday. My husband and I have been looking on the web to try and identify it, but it has us stumped. It looks somewhat like some hawk / sphinx moths we found, but the spots are in the wrong place. The more we can't find it, the more curious I am. Any help is appreciated.
