In think you may be right. I photographed a couple of these July moths in Minnesota last year (see thumb photos below). I'll move this specimen back to the family level to avoid confusion. Thank you!

Family is fine. You might want to place in subfamily. I wish I could be more certain and place it in the species. Hopefully someone will eventually clean this subfamily up.

I agree, Steve...
No doubt I'll catch and photograph a couple more individuals this year. Hopefully a series of a half-dozen examples, with flight dates, will be enough to be fairly certain about the genus and species. I'll move all my examples to the subspecies level. Thanks for your help!
