Ptosima gibbicollis - Redbud Borer? - Ptosima gibbicollis

There were several of these beetles which were very interested in two declining redbuds (Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy' and C. canadensis texensis 'Oklahoma', both in an area which flooded two years ago, from which stress the trees never recovered), crawling around on leaves and branches.
