Rose Chafer - Macrodactylus angustatus

Rose Chafer - Macrodactylus angustatus
Hill Forest, near Dial Creek, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
June 20, 2004
Josh Rose caught this individual by hand as if flew down a woodland trail at eye-level. It posed for a couple of photos, and then took off.

ID TBA--PC. (Move to genus level?)

Moved
Moved from Rose Chafer. My opinion is that this female matches better with M. angustatus, as it appears the pronotal setae, though worn, are more erect than appressed.
