How do we know the correct gender, for sure?
Please compare Ptilostomis ocellifera:

Ptilostomis?
Although the wing shape seems a bit more pointed, the markings on this bug (particularly the two white spots) look remarkably like a Ptilostomis. Is it definitely not that genus? If not, any tips on how you can tell? Thanks!
