Fuzzy red back makes us think
Leucorrhinia, but can't see enough to say more.

 
possible whiteface -
Many thanks. Yes I see a male Crimson-Ringed Whiteface would fit pretty well. The picture is not the best since when I took it I thought it was just a dot-tailed whiteface so it was supposed to be just a fast picture and then move on since dot-tailed whitefaces are pretty common. Thanks again.
