This is Polygonia satyrus. A few things to notice. On the top side the hind wing has the marginal light spots crescent-shaped, run together and a bit blured on the side toward the body. The under side has the markings tending to run as parallel bands of color, and the "comma" mark is very large and rather curved. The shape of the wings is different too, but I don't know how to describe that briefly. These are beautiful shots of a beautiful specimen!
